
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Donat Savoie on November 1, 2021. Born on February 17, 1951, he was the son of the late Yvon and Laudia (Robichaud) Savoie.
Donat was a retired fisherman. He loved to play his guitar and harmonica, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survived by his children Alain (Pam), Jacques (Stephanie), Jo-Anne Lagacé (Danny), Brenda-Lee Caissie (Étienne), Janice Bushey (Corey) and Toni-Shania Thorne; grandchildren Pascal, Alexandra, Nick, Dylan, Maxime, Jade, Angelik and Noah; brothers Blair (Kim), Valmond and David; a sister Flora (Gérard), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Donat was predeceased by his loving wife Sheila Thompson; brothers Perry, Alain, Bruno and Ronald, and a sister Joanne.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Pointe-Sapin, on Saturday November 6th, 2021, at 10:00 am. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
