It is with broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Joseph Albert Fletcher on July 27, 2023, peacefully at his residence surrounded by loved ones after his brave battle with illness. Born on January 26, 1954, he was the son of Berniece Hood of Magaguadavic, NB (deceased in 2011) and Joseph Fletcher of Fredericton, NB (deceased in 2018). Joe is survived by one son, Luke Joseph Fletcher, whom he loved dearly. She passed peacefully while under the wonderful care of the staff at the Oromocto Hospital, and previously of Paradise Villa and Farraline Home. There are so many to thank, including all of the friends who connected with Elizabeth during her time in Fredericton after the passing of her husband of 58 years, Beverley G. Smith. Elizabeth was born in Saint John, New Brunswick to Harold and Zella Springer and attended primary and secondary school in Saint John. With sadness we announce the passing of Eric Blair Appleby at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, May 29, 2023. Eric was born in Toronto in 1929. His mother, Rena Appleby, his father, Arthur Appleby and his sister, Marilyn Brougham, predeceased him. He leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, Marion (Lawson); his son Jeffrey (Katherine); daughter Jan Gorham (David); grandchildren, Amy, Eric, Maks, Alex and Cottie. Eric attended McGill University where he received his Bachelor of Commerce. He then went on to obtain his Law Degree from the University of Toronto. Eric and Marion were married in 1954. Employment followed in New York City and Baltimore. In 1961, they moved to Fredericton, where Eric opened a law practice. Born on January 15, 1945, she was the youngest daughter of the late Ganapatrao and Gangubai Tandulwakar of Budh, Maharashtra, India. She was also pre-deceased by her 3 brothers, Kashinath, Prabhakar and Vishwanath Tandulwadkar, and is survived by her 2 sisters, Pramila Wadkar and Pushpa Hukkeri. In addition, Indrayani had a huge extended family that all loved her deeply. With 5 siblings and 10 cousins (who she referred to as all brothers and sisters), she helped raise her many nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Born in Winchester, Mass, on December 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Smith) Wilson. Elizabeth leaves behind her sons, Daniel Allardyce (Won) and Tom Allardyce (Lori); granddaughter, Hanna; sister, Mary Schussler; brother, Ian Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
