On February 3rd, 1945, Esme Kathleen Williams, along with her sister and mother, walked the streets in Colchester, England hearing bombs in the distance. They were on their way to the hospital to deliver Michael Russell Williams. Mike was the first-born son of Esme and Russell Williams. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Murray, his son Eric (Erin), daughter Natalie (Kyle), grandchildren Noah, Seth, Evan, West, Miles, Maia and Milo, great grandchildren Sophia and Serenity, his sister Jennifer (David), brother Andrew (Shelley), as well as many nieces and nephews. His son Eric and daughter Natalie were a source of great pride. It is with broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Joseph Albert Fletcher on July 27, 2023, peacefully at his residence surrounded by loved ones after his brave battle with illness. Born on January 26, 1954, he was the son of Berniece Hood of Magaguadavic, NB (deceased in 2011) and Joseph Fletcher of Fredericton, NB (deceased in 2018). Joe is survived by one son, Luke Joseph Fletcher, whom he loved dearly. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Wife, and Friend to many – Elizabeth Smith.  She passed peacefully while under the wonderful care of the staff at the Oromocto Hospital, and previously of Paradise Villa and Farraline Home. There are so many to thank, including all of the friends who connected with Elizabeth during her time in Fredericton after the passing of her husband of 58 years, Beverley G. Smith. Elizabeth was born in Saint John, New Brunswick to Harold and Zella Springer and attended primary and secondary school in Saint John.  The family eventually moved to their summer cottage at Ingleside in Westfield, New Brunswick. After graduation Elizabeth went to MacDonald College and was then accepted into the School of Pharmacy at Dalhousie University, where she graduated as the only woman in the class of 1957. With sadness we announce the passing of Eric Blair Appleby at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, May 29, 2023. Eric was born in Toronto in 1929. His mother, Rena Appleby, his father, Arthur Appleby and his sister, Marilyn Brougham, predeceased him. He leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, Marion (Lawson); his son Jeffrey (Katherine); daughter Jan Gorham (David); grandchildren, Amy, Eric, Maks, Alex and Cottie. Eric attended McGill University where he received his Bachelor of Commerce. He then went on to obtain his Law Degree from the University of Toronto. Eric and Marion were married in 1954. Employment followed in New York City and Baltimore. In 1961, they moved to Fredericton, where Eric opened a law practice. After practicing law for 10 years, he established Maritime Law Book, a leading Canadian legal publication. Eric proudly owned and operated Maritime Law Book for 45 years. He retired at… Read More

Mary ‘Anna’ O’Neill Kubik, R.N. passed on January 20, 2023, surrounded by family at her son’s and daughter-in-law’s home in Fredericton, NB where she enjoyed her ‘non-bungalow’ months since 2021.  Anna was predeceased by husband, Alfie Kubik. Anna was born in Glace Bay, NS to the late Andrew and Mary (McDonald) O’Neill. She is survived by children, Dino (Dr. Ann Harvey) of Fredericton, Roberta of Revelstoke, B.C., and Andy (Danielle) of Halifax; grandchildren, Erika (Marc) of Fredericton, Andrew (Nichole) of Leduc, Thomas, Joseph, Madeleine, Isaac, Jacob, Abraham, Faith, Hope and Jonathan of Halifax; great-grandchildren Miley, Dominic and Connor of Leduc, as well as, nieces Darlene Fleming of Halifax and Peggy O’Neill McNeil of Glace Bay. It is with great sadness from the family of Keith Douglas Dorcas to inform his many friends and acquaintances of his passing on Dec 5, 2022.  Keith was born on June 23, 1938 and grew up in Williamsburg. Keith D. Dorcas is survived by his partner, Cheryl Hennessey; son, Rockland Dorcas (Sheila); daughter, Tanya Kelly (Tim); step-sons, Tyler and Kyle Anderson; grandchildren, Todd, Tabrinna, Kriston, Justin, Tony; great grandchildren, Shalyla, Maxx, Alexis, Kelleigh, Kendrix and bonus great grandchildren, Jo Ann and Joseph Kendall; sister Margery Hay and sister in law Beryl Dorcas and many nieces and nephews. It is with great sadness that the family of Indrayani Pishe announces her passing on November 24, 2022.  Born on January 15, 1945, she was the youngest daughter of the late Ganapatrao and Gangubai Tandulwakar of Budh, Maharashtra, India. She was also pre-deceased by her 3 brothers, Kashinath, Prabhakar and Vishwanath Tandulwadkar, and is survived by her 2 sisters, Pramila Wadkar and Pushpa Hukkeri.  In addition, Indrayani had a huge extended family that all loved her deeply. With 5 siblings and 10 cousins (who she referred to as all brothers and sisters), she helped raise her many nieces and nephews as if they were her own.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) from Rajaram College in Kohlapur, India.  In 1970, Indrayani bravely left all of her family behind and flew to Canada on her own, not knowing the language or culture and never having left India.  She then joined… Read More
