It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Nancy Lucille Steeves on Sunday, November 14, 2021 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Born on June 20, 1953, she was the daughter of the late James McClean and Florence Sarah (Swan) Craig. Nancy will be missed by her husband of 39 years, Richard Steeves; children Angela Lynne Steeves and Lisa Dawn LeBlanc, grandchildren Abbigail LeBlanc and Hope Smith, beloved cat Ruby; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. It is with sadness we announce the passing of Donat Savoie on November 1, 2021. Born on February 17, 1951, he was the son of the late Yvon and Laudia (Robichaud) Savoie. Donat was a retired fisherman. He loved to play his guitar and harmonica, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survived by his children Alain (Pam), Jacques (Stephanie), Jo-Anne Lagacé (Danny), Brenda-Lee Caissie (Étienne), Janice Bushey (Corey) and Toni-Shania Thorne; grandchildren Pascal, Alexandra, Nick, Dylan, Maxime, Jade, Angelik and Noah; brothers Blair (Kim), Valmond and David; a sister Flora (Gérard), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The passing of Luc Jean Pelletier occurred on October 13th, 2021, at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on December 26th, 1960 in Edmundston, NB he was the son of Maurice and Therese. In his youth, Luc was into martial arts. A roofing contractor by trade, he loved playing his guitar, fishing, and made lifelong friends in Ontario and Edmundston. Luc will be dearly missed by his mother Therese; siblings, Rachel (Reno Charette) of Edmundston, Gilles (Louise Ouellette) of Edmundston, Lucille (Daniel Pelletier) of Fredericton, Suzanne of Edmundston, André of Edmundston and sister-in-law, Celine Thériault of Edmundston. Born on May 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Miriam (Mowatt) Everett. Bunny will be missed by her daughters Miriam Stermscheg (Andy), Eileen Yeker (Sean) and Jean Mombourquette; grandchildren Lee Stermscheg, Karen Thiessen, Alex, Neil, and Emily Rose Mombourquette, as well as great grandchildren Frankie, Lex, Chip and Ford. It is with sadness that the family of Ethel van Gogh announces her death at York Care Centre on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the age of 87. Born in Fox River, NS, on July 15, 1934, she was the wife of Jacobus van Gogh of Oromocto. In addition to her husband, Jacobus, she leaves her daughter, Debi Huntingford (Rick); stepson, Jacob Jeffery van Gogh; grandchildren, James (Rachelle) and Gregory; great grandchildren, Antony, Lara, Scarlet, Reed, Hannah, and Lily; daughter-in-law, Cheryl; several nieces, nephews and cousins and extended family in Holland. Kathleen Regina Carruthers passed peacefully away on September 14th, 2021 at the age of 74 years. Kay was a beautiful, warm, spirited and compassionate person who dearly loved her family and was loved by all who knew her. She loved gardening, campfires, music, dancing, and trips “down the bay”. She is predeceased by her brother Danny (Jeannie), granddaughter Matana, mother Della and father William. Left with cherished and loving memories are her daughter Cindy (Brad), son Philip (Likomo), daughter Kaitlynn and treasured grandchildren Alex, Vance, Meagan, and Savannah who were the pride and joy of Nana’s life, sisters: Mary (Ozzie), Margaret, Eileen (Ken), Barbara (Paul), brothers: Joe (Yvonne), Gerry (Patti), very special friends: Edna, Sharon and Phyllis. Kathleen is also survived by nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
J.R. François Bouchard
The Bouchard family said goodbye to J.R. François Bouchard, on 20 August 2021 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, after he lost his second battle with oral cancer. Words can do no justice to his character and the impact he had on his family and those fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Even though the odds were stacked against him from the start, he built himself a life filled with love, family, and achievements. François was an incredible role model to his sons, the most playful grandfather to have ever walked the earth, and a loving and kind husband to his beloved wife. It is with great sadness that the family of Andrew Albert announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at his brother’s home in Gatineau, QC. Born in Fort Kent, Maine on November 8, 1974, he was the son of Carlton Albert and Mary (Crouse) Albert. Although Andy was born in Maine, he lived most of his life in Canada. He graduated from Beaconsfield High, CEGEP Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue and the University of Windsor in Ontario. During university, one of Andy’s professors performed stand-up comedy on weekends and it was here that Andy found his life-long love for stand-up comedy, making it his professional career. Born in Ontario, John was the son of the late Florence (Tetley) Macoomb, and brother to Rick (Olive) Macoomb and the late Ann (Bill) McCormick. At 17, he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy and served aboard the HMCS Bonaventure. He met his wife, Leona, while stationed in Halifax and after marrying, left the navy and joined the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force.
